What is Profhilo H+L?
Awarded in 2015 by the French AMEC for its innovation, it is an absolute novelty in the world of aesthetic medicine. PROFHILO® is an ultra-modern instrument for rejuvenating the skin. It consists of stabilised hybrid HA complexes at the highest concentration available anywhere in the world, as much as 64 mg; L-HA, whose action sets off the repair and regeneration cascade of the skin, and H-HA, which are the main component of the scaffolding of the skin and of the density of the ECM matrix (extracellular matrix). Thanks to these molecules we obtain a filling effect and a plastic contouring effect. PROFHILO® Bioremodeling is an innovative concept of rejuvenating treatments that counteracts slackness of the skin.

Contraindications

- Cold sores and other viral, fungal and bacterial skin infections, as well as inflammation

- Hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid
Aftercare recommendations
- No exposure to UV radiation — for a minimum of 72 hours; on sunny days use an SPF 50+ filter
- No alcohol — for 24 hours
- No using the swimming pool or the sauna
- Do not take anti-inflammatory or anticoagulant medication
- No make-up — for a minimum of 24 hours
- No intensive physical exertion — for 72 hours
- Care with other cosmetic and aesthetic treatments — it is worth planning them well in advance
- Look after hygiene: wash your hands, and apply make-up with clean tools
The traces of the injections may be visible on the skin in the form of small deposits. They are absorbed fairly quickly — they should not be massaged out. A haematoma may also appear in the area that was treated; that place should not be irritated or exposed to the sun, but it can be camouflaged with make-up.

To achieve optimal results, at least three treatments are recommended, depending on the area of the body. I establish the number of treatments in a course and the intervals between them individually during the consultation — they depend on the condition of the skin, age and the aim of the therapy.
The traces of the injections may be visible on the skin in the form of small deposits. They are absorbed fairly quickly — they should not be massaged out. A haematoma may also appear in the treated area; that spot should not be irritated or exposed to the sun, but it can be camouflaged with make-up.
These are often combined courses of treatment, but choosing the stimulator and the whole course requires a prior analysis of the skin. Care is needed with other cosmetic and aesthetic treatments — it is worth planning them well in advance.
The treatment is completely painless, so it requires no anaesthetic. The product is administered at 5 points on each side of the face — the Five Bio-Aesthetic Injection Points were chosen by IBSA researchers so as to keep an appropriate distance from venous structures and large nerve branches, in order to minimise the risk of haematomas, bruising or pain during the injection. The whole treatment takes about 10 to 15 minutes. Results can be seen after just 2 sessions (within 1 month). The visible results most often last around 1–1.5 years. To reinforce the effect further, 1–2 maintenance treatments a year can be carried out.
