Microneedling radiofrequency
A treatment that combines microneedling with radio waves — the needles deliver the energy at a set depth in the skin.

What is microneedling radiofrequency?
This treatment combines two mechanisms. Fine needles are introduced into the skin at a set depth, and radio waves are delivered through them, heating the tissue in a controlled way exactly where the needles have reached — rather than at the surface.
The aim is to encourage the skin to work with its own resources. The treatment adds nothing and removes nothing.
This is a needle treatment, which means it breaks the continuity of the epidermis. It requires an anaesthetic and leaves marks that have to be waited out — it is not a treatment to fit into a lunch break.
The result is individual — it depends on age, the condition of the skin and lifestyle. We discuss the scope of the treatment and the results that can realistically be achieved during the consultation.
How the treatment goes
I cleanse the skin and apply the anaesthetic, which has to take effect — that takes several dozen minutes before we even begin. I then set the depth of the punctures and the power, matching them to the area and to your skin; within a single face the settings can differ from place to place.
I apply the handpiece point by point, covering the chosen area. After the treatment the skin is warm and red.
What to be prepared for
- The treatment is carried out under a local anaesthetic
- Redness and swelling straight after the treatment
- For a while a regular pattern from the punctures may be visible
- You have to follow the aftercare recommendations
- The result requires a series of treatments, and changes appear gradually
It is worth planning the date so that you have a few quieter days afterwards.
When it is worth considering
- Loss of firmness and density in the skin of the face, neck or décolletage
- Uneven skin texture and enlarged pores
- Scars, including acne scars
- Stretch marks
- Loosening of the skin on selected areas of the body
Whether microneedling radiofrequency is right in your case is decided by the suitability assessment during the consultation.
Contraindications to the treatment

- A pacemaker or another implanted electronic device
- Metal implants in the area of the planned treatment
- Cancer under treatment

How often should the treatment be repeated?
Microneedling radiofrequency is carried out as a series — a single treatment is part of a whole, not a course in itself. I establish the number of treatments and the intervals between them individually, depending on the condition of the skin, age and the aim of the therapy.
I carry out the full suitability assessment for the treatment during the consultation.

Microneedling radiofrequency — FAQ
This is a needle treatment, so I apply a local anaesthetic before we begin. During it you feel the punctures and warmth — I match the intensity to your tolerance and respond as we go.
Yes. The skin can be red and swollen, and for a while a regular pattern from the punctures may be visible. How long that lasts in your case depends on the depth and the extent of the treatment — we discuss it before we start, so that you can plan the date.
Microneedling radiofrequency is carried out as a series. I establish the number of treatments and the intervals between them individually — they depend on the condition of the skin, age and the aim of the therapy.
That depends on what was done and when — with fillers, threads or stimulators there are intervals to observe. I make that decision after a consultation.
